the patriotic cake


Here it is. I'm actually pleased with the results. I used the same white chocolate icing to do the decorating (except the roses), and I think it'll taste better that way. It did have some decorating issues, even though I tried to stiffen the icing a bit.
Also, a close up of the roses. Some are better than others, but... it's edible, so hopefilly no complaints.

I am impressed. I never got my roses to look like that. I do think I might retake the class though...it starts Wednesday!
